  • What will the structure of our session look like?
    Each session will look different depending on where we are in our process and what is best for you. Typically, at the beginning of our meeting, we will catch up and continue building on the work we have started.

     

  • What is the scenery of where we will be walking?
    This will depend on the location we agree upon. Usually, this will look like a walking trail in a park surrounded by water, greenery, benches, etc. We may meet at your job and walk during your break, or meet in your neighborhood. 

     

  • Do I get to choose where we walk? 
    I currently have a list of pre-selected locations. During our initial consultation, if this feels like a good fit for you, we will discuss the best location(s) and alternate as desired. Current selected locations are in Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Fort Lauderdale.

     

  • What is your policy for bad weather/rain delays? 
    If there is inclement weather, we will keep in touch to decide the best option for you. If available, we can schedule an office/virtual session at our scheduled time.

     

  • Can I do both Walk + Talk and office sessions?
    Yes, we can decide together how often you would like to be outdoors vs. indoors for your sessions.

     

  • What are the expectations for pace/distance?
    You set the pace each time we walk. Normally, we are walking at a slower pace because our focus is processing. At times, we may even find a bench or spot to sit while we continue our work while still enjoying the benefits of being in nature.
    *Reminder: this is not an exercise program. 

     

  • Will people know that you are my therapist?
    Where we conduct our sessions, it is common to see people walking and talking together. There will be nothing overt that says we are conducting therapy. If at any time you see someone you know, I will follow your lead. It is always up to you if you acknowledge me as your therapist. I will never compromise your confidentiality.

     

  • Who do you usually work with?
    I currently work with both individuals and couples who are looking to have a deeper connection with themselves and an understanding of how they show up in relationships. They may be feeling anxious, depressed, or stuck.

     

  • What do I need to do/wear/bring/have to be best prepared for sessions?
    The main thing you will need is comfortable shoes and clothing. I also recommend using sunscreen/sun protection and bringing water.
